Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use GottaLoveSA. This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AAA.
What we have done
- Text and background colours meet a contrast ratio of at least 7 to 1, in both light and dark mode.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline and a skip link.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and breadcrumbs so screen reader users can find their way.
- Every image that carries meaning has a text description.
- Animation is kept to a minimum and switched off if you have asked your device to reduce motion.
- The layout works at 400% zoom and on screens 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
- Forms have visible labels, explain what is needed and tell you exactly what to fix if something is missing.
- We use a highly readable typeface, Atkinson Hyperlegible, and plain language.
Known limitations
- Some older guides are still being refreshed and may use longer sentences than we would like.
- We link to other websites, including booking partners and social media, which we do not control and which may not be accessible.
- Access information is still being added to our place guides.
